Office of Student Accommodations:
Statistics have consistently shown that students with disabilities are less likely to attend higher education, particularly graduate and professional education. According to recent studies, only 33% of people with disabilities earn a bachelor's degree or higher and only 19% of people with disabilities are employed. Of those who are employed, few enter the STEM and healthcare fields; only 6.8% of doctoral students studying STEM identified as having a disability and less than 5% of people with disabilities are employed in healthcare fields. The Office of Student Accommodations aims to close this gap by providing accommodations and advocating for students with disabilities to reach their academic pursuits. Your donation would go directly to fund new assistive technology tools to support the next generation of STEM scholars with disabilities.
