J.W. England Library:
Visit the library most hours of the day or night and you’ll find students hard at work. They’re doing research, writing papers, practicing patient exams, preparing for their professional futures, creating posters and presentations, collaborating with their peers, and, of course, studying. Our mission in the library is to support each of these important efforts by providing access to resources and information, and by being the space where it all happens. We’re proud that USciences students report a very high level of satisfaction in the library, and we seek to make upgrades that would further enhance their user experience and promote their academic and professional success.
Fundraising Initiatives Below:
Let's Connect! - Goal $750
Outfit study carrels located around the perimeter of the third floor with electrical outlets. This will allow students to charge their laptops and other devices at their seats.
Let's Collaborate! - Goal $2,500
Outfit one or more of the 2nd floor group study rooms with interactive, “smart” technology to facilitate collaboration.
Let's Create! - Goal $1,500
Convert a currently underutilized staff area of the library to a “maker space” for students. Funds would go toward brand new exam tables for students to practice patient exams on each other within our library.
